 Getmapping.es was formed in late 2000 and is a joint venture between The Spanish Map Company, Getmapping.com, Trabajos Catastrales S.A. (also known as Tracasa) and Azimut S.A. specifically to produce and market the first complete, full colour, digital, aerial photographic map of Spain. As part of the joint venture The Spanish Map Company has negotiated
access to existing assets held by both Tracasa (a government-owned
Spanish company specialising in high resolution, map accurate photographs)
and Azimut S.A. (Spain’s leading flight and photographic company
with many of their own assets). These assets, combined with the
technical expertise and experience of Getmapping.com a British company
specialising in the same type of products in the U.K, ensures that
from day one Getmapping.es is established as the leading supplier
of aerial maps in Spain. |
